Notifications
A notification tells you that something happened. Each one is addressed to one person. You can see the list of yours, watch them arrive live, and choose in your preferences which kinds you want to receive.
Description
An announcement is a notice from the platform to everyone. Each person gets their own copy, and a background worker turns those copies into notifications.
