Sync

Sync lets a product's applications keep a copy of their data when they are offline, and bring it up to date when they connect. An application pulls what has changed since it last looked, and pushes what it changed itself.

Description

Which tables an application may sync is decided for each ecosystem. There is a catalog of tables that are shaped for sync, and platform staff turn each one on or off for an ecosystem from the admin workspace. Every synced row carries a version and a stamp, so a pull knows what changed, and a pull sees one consistent moment of the data. A table never syncs to anyone who could not read it anyway.
