What a persona is

A persona is an AI character you design and run. You give it a name, a prompt and a personality. You choose the model behind it.

Description

A persona belongs to you or to an organization, and it lives in the workspace you made it in. Underneath, a persona is an ecosystem of its own, with its own features, the same way a product is.

Every persona has an address made from its owner's address and its own short name, its slug. Its public page is at /<slug> on the persona registry site, or at /<owner>/<persona> in the longer form.

A persona has a name, a slug, an avatar and a visibility. You can hand it to another owner. It has a description, which is what it says about itself, and a personality: its character, its voice and its examples. Its purpose is its prompt. It has knowledge, memory, integrations with outside services, abilities, permissions and access. It has a demo chat for anonymous visitors, a chat status shown while it thinks, and the service and model it runs on.

Avatar, knowledge, memory, abilities, permissions, integrations and access come after you save the persona for the first time. Access exists only inside a workspace, because who may use an item is a workspace matter. Integrations needs the persona's own ecosystem, which exists once the persona does.
