Workspace roles

A workspace role is a named set of permissions that you give to a member. It is written out by area, where an area is one feature of the workspace, such as Personas, Projects, Storage, Shipr or Billing. For each area, a role says what its holder may do there: create, read, update, delete, or manage.

Description

Every workspace has an admin role. It cannot be changed, and it allows everything in every area. A workspace can define up to 20 roles of its own as well, and one role is marked as the one a new member receives.

A role only ever adds. There is no way to take a permission away with a role, so what you may do is the sum of your roles. A member cannot give out a permission they do not hold themselves. The last admin of a workspace cannot be removed.

If you cannot read an area, that area does not exist for you. It is not offered to you, and its address is not found.
